opening for Eric

This evening I got to open for Eric Johnson as part of a house concert he gave; it was a great experience and a lot of fun. I snapped the shot of Eric playing after my opening set.

Lunar Eclipse

a few photos I took of the Lunar eclipse (Earth blocking the Moon's view of the Sun) this evening...the final (reddish) shot is over-exposed, otherwise you'd barely see the Moon at all. The light in that photo is mostly reflected light from Earth.

butterfly

I was very lucky and was able to snap this macro lens shot of a butterfly (actually I think it's a wood moth) on an old piece of wood. I was surprised this little guy didn't move when I got the lens close to him.

double rainbow

Caught a rare glimpse of a rainbow reflecting itself to look like two...what a beautiful sight that can't be summed up with mere words. Obviously it was so big the camera could only get half of it, but it seemed to take up the whole sky. Awesome.
